Los Angeles, CA: World Premiere of "Dolphin Tale" at Regency Village Theatre on September 17, 2011

Warner Bros. Pictures announced this week that the World Premiere of the upcoming movie Dolphin Tale will be held at the Regency Village Theatre in Los Angeles, California on Saturday, September 17, 2011.

Attending the event from the movie will be Harry Connick, Jr., Nathan Gamble, Cozi Zuehlsdorff, Morgan Freeman, Austin Stowell and director Charles Martin Smith. Additional celebrity guests will be attending as well.

Celebrities will begin arriving at 11am and the screening begins at Noon.

Based on true events "Dolphin Tale" is a family film about Winter, a young dolphin who loses her tail in a crab trap and Sawyer, the introverted, 11-year old boy who befriends her. Sawyer meets the rescued dolphin at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, a marine rehabilitation center where she lives. Sawyer rallies friends and family alike to save Winter by convincing a pioneering doctor to create a unique prosthetic attachment to restore the dolphin's ability to swim. Winter the dolphin will play herself in the movie.

Dolphin Tale will be shown in 2D and 3D variations in theaters nationwide beginning Friday, September 23, 2011. Select theaters have showtimes available for opening weekend.

I was at ther Village Theatre in 1998 while I was attending the Media workshop. It's a nice theatre. I like to go back there someday.
