Less than a week after we reported that AMC Theatres launched discounted pricing for very early shows, Marcus Theatres now has a similar program they are calling "Early Bird Specials" which discounts admission tickets and concession prices at some theaters.

The admission price is reduced to $4 and three Early Bird Meal Deals are available, including a junior-size popcorn and junior-size soda for $5, add a hot dog for $2 more, or get a pizza boat instead of the hot dog for $4 more.

According to the Marcus Theatres web site, the admission prices are valid for Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays for all shows before 1:30pm. The concession discounts are available only if you order before 1:30pm on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. (There's no word on whether these prices apply to those special 12:05 "midnight" shows that happen once in a while, but I wouldn't count on it.)

Early Bird Pricing is available at the following locations:

Illinois - Addison, Chicago Heights, Gurnee, and Orland Park
Ohio - Crosswoods and Pickerington
Wisconsin - Milwaukee Area Locations to include:
Hillside, Menomonee Falls, North Shore, Ridge, Saukville, South Shore, West Point, and Westown

There's no mention of an expiration date, but a good guess would be the end of summer or when AMC stops offering its discounted pricing.
