Howard Shore's original Academy Award-winning score for The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring will be played live to film at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on October 9-10, 2009.

The performance will feature the 21st Century Orchestra, The Collegiate Chorale, Brooklyn Youth Chorus, and Kaitlyn Lusk. The conductor is Ludwig Wicki, and there will be a special appearance by Billy Boyd, who played Pippin Took in the movie. Boyd is touring the U.S. as part of the band Beecake. It would seem that his singing isn't limited to belting out bar songs or soulful ballads, like in The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King!
