On Wednesday, I reported that the new trailer for Star Trek would be appearing in theaters today before Watchmen, and that the trailer would be available online Monday.

I'm happy to report that you can have that benefit of Monday without the sinking feeling when the alarm goes off in the morning! The third trailer for Star Trek is now available on the Trailers & Videos page for the movie.

The visuals from the trailer are great, but I found the music to be overbearing and too dramatic. That's small criticism, however, and I think that this movie may just reverse the slide that the Star Trek franchise has taken in the past.

Many other franchises that were thought to have been exhausted by multiple sequels of questionable quality were successfully "rebooted" in the past few years, so we'll get to find out if that's the case when the movie is released in theaters on May 8th, 2009.
