The Wehrenberg Osage Village 5 Cine in Osage Beach, Missouri closed on or around October 8, 2014, which was the last time we received updated showtimes for the theater.

Lake News Online published an article recently that said that the theater's demise was a result of an outdated facility and lack of customers:

A lack of attendance and an outdated facility without the technology and upscale accommodations of its sister theater in Lake Ozark has forced the closing of the he Osage Village 5 Ciné.

The theater has been a fixture in Osage Beach for 30 years. The move came without notice to the public.

Wehrenberg company officials said it was no longer feasible to keep operating the theater at the Osage Beach Premium Outlets. Since the opening of the Wehrenberg Eagles’ Landing 8 Ciné facility, attendance at Osage Village has declined. Employees at the the Osage Village location were transferred to the Lake Ozark theater.

It was time to retire the Osage Village location, company spokesperson Kelly Hoskins said. Thirty years is beyond what is considered the life span of a theater facility and the newer location has been more successful than anticipated, she said.

The closest theater is now the Wehrenberg Eagles' Landing 8 Cine in Lake Ozark, which is about three miles away. The next closest is the B & B Lake West Cinema in Gravois Mills, about twelve miles away.
