Warner Bros. Pictures announced this week that the Premiere of Whiteout will be held at Mann Village Theatre in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday, September 9, 2009.

Appearing at the event from the movie are Kate Beckinsale, Gabriel Macht, Tom Skerritt, Alex O’Loughlin, Graphic Novel creators, Greg Rucka and Steve Lieber, writers Jon & Erich Hoeber, Chad & Carey W. Hayes, producers Joel Silver, Susan Downey and David Gambino. Other celebrities include Jacinda Barrett and more.

Celebrities will begin arriving at 6pm and the screening begins at 7pm.

Beckinsale plays Carrie Stetko, the lone U.S. Marshal assigned to Antarctica, is investigating the continent's first murder, which draws her into a shocking mystery.

Now, with only three days until winter, Carrie must solve the crime before Antarctica is plunged into darkness and she is stranded with the killer.

It appears all that time Kate Beckinsale spent honing her acting chops for serious dramas like Van Helsing and Underworld may have been in vain, as the Whiteout movie she's billed in is getting a hiding at the hands of the critics.
