Tucked into the bottom of the press release from Disney about today's release of Sleeping Beauty on Blu-ray is a mention about a promotion from Panasonic and Disney.
I followed the link provided (http://www.panasonicsleepingbeauty.com/), and it provides information about getting two movies for free when you purchase a Panasonic DMP-BD35 Blu-ray player.
Just complete the redemption form provided on the site along with the UPC and original receipt from your purchase of the Panasonic player, and you will receive Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas and Ratatouille by mail.
It's certainly nice to see the list price of decent Blu-ray players reach new lows, and promotions like this help to sweeten the deal. If I were in the market for another Blu-ray player, the Panasonic DMP-BD35 would be on my short list along with the Sony BDP-S350.
Amazon has the Panasonic DMP-BD35K available for pre-order (scheduled for release on October 25) for the list price of $299.95, but I expect that we'll see lower prices (maybe under $250?) soon after the unit is widely available. The $299 Sony player is currently available right now from Amazon for $279, but (of course) you won't get the two free movies with the Sony.
