"Terminator 2:Judgement Day" is the sequel to the surprise hit of 1984. James Cameron who directed the first Terminator movie is back for the second. Where we last saw Sarah Connor, she was fleeing down the highway with John Conner in her womb. When the second movie began, Sarah was in a mental Asylem. Her son John is a target of another terminator, a much more powerful terminator than the one in the first film. Enter Arnold Schwarzenegger, but this time he becomes the good guy. His job is to protect John as well as Sarah. The film has plenty of action sequels and good chase scenes which makes the second terminator movie a much better movie than the first. Sarah Conner, played by Linda Hamilton, is much tougher than the first. She's very good when she's tough. Cameron who co-wrote the screenplay as well as directed is very cleaver at making science fiction movies, especially this film, work very well. "Terminator 2:Judgement Day" is no exception. Cameron does to Scence Fiction, what Alfred Hitchock did to mystery and suspense. Terminator 2 is one of Cameron's best movies.
A classic film that surpasses the first in many ways, supports it in many ways, and does not degrade the original in any way.
A classic film that launched more than a few careers and was very original.
While the special effects pale in comparison to contemporary efforts, they are not cheesy by any means, and the story holds up to the test of time very well.
The war between the machines and the humans has begun in "the Terminator," which was released in the fall of 1984. Linda Hamilton gave a good performance as Sarah O'Connor.she became the heroine of this movie. Michael Biehn is the rebel from the future who has to protect Linda from the terminator.
This is a fun movie to watch with the action nonstop. Arnold Schwarzegger's catch-phase has always been my favorite "I'll Be Back." On top of everything else, I happened to love the moody music score. "the Terminator" sends a message that Science Fiction movies can be fun and exciting.
