This was a great movie. It was not just a football movie or another movie about blacks and whites. This was a great combination of both. Very moving movie. It will make you happy and make you cry. This was one of the greatest movie's I've seen this year so far! I give it 2 thumbs up and at least 5 stars!!! It exceeded my expectation of the movie and is a definite must see! This was an excellent movie! It had humor and drama and heart! Do yourself the favor of seeing this one! I think this movie should be shown across america ! it teaches younger kids about what happened when black people weren't wanted ! And how one very talented man ( denzel washington ) teaches white people that blacks are just as equal as whites and can do exactly what white people can do ! And that everyone should be treated equally !!! Remember the Titans is a powerful lesson about the changes that took part in this country when efforts to end segregation began. Denzel Washington's strong protrayal of Coach Herman Boone and the tenacity he demonstrates for that time clearly show the strength needed for those turbulent times. The is a wonderful movie. It combines the battles of football with the battle of racism in a very thought provoking manor. There's enough football action to keep the sports enthusiast entertained, but not so much as to overshadow the real theme and conflict at hand. This was a great "feel good" movie. I thought Denzel Washington was very convincing in this movie & it really makes you think about your views on racism.
"Remember the Titans" is a powerful drama about a football team who comes to grip with the racism that is tearing one northern town apart. Denzel Washington plays the coach of who brought the team, both black and white together to win the championship.
