"Delicatessen" is a French comedy about life in post-Apocalypse France. The film takes place in a large French house which is occupied by a assocment of weridos and outcasts. Directors Jean-Pierre Jeunet and marc Caro created a futurstic world where all is not too bleak. Despite the horrorfying images, the film is a comedy about survival.
"Delicatessen" came out almost at the same time as the "Terminator II:Judgement Day." I liked both films, but it was "Delicatessen," with it's persional tale of hope and survival which gave it an edge.
