[--- Good ---]by   Jul 17, 2012
I brought my kids to see this movie and we all enjoyed it. There was an all-star cast. The message was good and the story kept our interest. It was a little predictable, but it kept moving.

It was worth seeing either on the big screen or later as a rental.

Not as well done as 1 & 2 , but still ok.

The fourth and the worst of the Ice Age series. I like the first three Ice Age movies, but the fourth movie has suggested that the series has seen it better days in the past. Recently, I saw the first Ice Age movie about a few months ago. The first one was a little dark with the three principle characters trying to save a baby. But with the second movie, it got lighter with additional characters being added. Now with the forth movie, more characters are being added, making the movie more about adding characters than the input of the film, which to me it didn't go anywhere. The three characters were seperated from the rest of the group and is adrift on an ice bound for nowhere. They met a few second rate villains which doesn't do much for the movie either. Scrat the Squirrel is a problem. Scrat keeps going after the same nut since the first movie and for the first three movies, it was fun. By the forth movie, I find it boring. He keeps getting that nut but keeps losing it. Even Will E. Coyote had better luck with the Road Runner. There's not much to like about the movie and the I hope the series ends with this movie. Besides, there's are many aminated movies between now and the end of the year. Before the movie, there was a short Maggie Simpson short inwhich the youngest Simpson saves a butterfly from a mean kid. My advice, see the Maggie Simpson short, then go home.
