Every time "Mildred Pierce" is playing on Turner Classic Movies, I had to see this movie again and again. . I love this movie very much. It's my favorite Joan Crawford movie. The movie which came out in 1945, is a story of a life of a woman and the problems that she faces. The movie plays like a soap opera, but I don't see it that way. It's a drama about a woman who opens up her own business and must deal with the death of a child and betrayal of another. Ann Blyth played her daughter who turns against her mother. Blyth nearly stole the movie from Crawford. Ann Blyth is one of my favorite performers from classic cinema.
