It's hard to say that this is Bill Murray's best movie because he's great in so many, but since he carries it completely on his shoulders (with some help from Andie MacDowell), its success hinges upon his performance. Fortunately, he does an excellent job at portraying a cynical, self-centered man who learns that there is more to life than thinking of himself, even if it does take several years' worth of the same day to figure it out.
Well worth watching!
One of Biull Murray's best roles as a weatherman who is truck in town and had the repeat Groundhofg day over and over again. Every time I heard the song "I got you Babe!" by Sonny anbd Cher it would remind me of that movie. That's is where Murray heard that song as he wakes up on that day. A smart movie.
