"Duck Soup" is one of the funniest comedies I ever seen. It's a comedy about two mythical countries in Europe who went to war. sure there some singing, but you wouldn't come to Marx Brothers movie just for the singing.
Groucho Marx plays Rufus T. Firefly (I love that name) the dictator of the country of Freedonia who declares war on Sylvania. The film is wack as Groucho and the rest of the Marx Brothers do the type of theing that I love most. These people are funny. Chico Marx is funny is his own sort of way. Harpo Marx, doesn't speak, but he can be very funny. Zeppo Marx is also in there, not as funny as the other three, but he's there.
The film has achieve something many comedies of today don't have. the ability to make people laugh. the Marx Brothers are four talented men who achieve greatness though laughter, and one great example of their humerous talent is a little film called "Duck Soup."
Don't let the year 1933 scare you off. See it. It's funny.
