Great characters, great dialog, great acting, and a solid story. An eccentric film with eccentric characters.
"Garden State" should have been a good movie, but the characters got to weird for their good. Zach Braff, who co writer and directed this movie had made movie which weird things keep happening for no apparent reason. You sdee a dog hump is bad enough, but two is a sign of desperation on the part of the film. Even Natalie Portman didn't fit into the movie. This is not her best film. Zach Braff's character is clueless and needs an makeover. Matter of fact, the whole movie needs a makeover. Braff's direction is very weak and need a better director to do a better job of making this movie. This movie has promise, but doesn't have a clue of the direction of this movie.
