"Jurassic Park" is not only one of the best movies of 1993, but this film is very special to me. In 1993, I was about to give up on going to the movies. At that point of time, I saw going to the movies as a waste of time and it loss it's meaning. Then "Jurassic Park" enter my life and after seeing this movie, that I renew my love for the movies. I like the plot, a iosland full of dinosaurs and watching people escaping the island is a joy. I like the special effects by Stan Winston among others. I love the music score by John Williams. And the cast is superb. But the cast member I admired is Laura Dern. She blew me away. All at once I fell in love with her. This movie has renew my love of the movies. Ever time I saw the movie on TV, it brings back all the memories of the movie. The film saved my life. It was the most fun I had at the movies in 1993.
Even better in 3D. The film celebrates it's 20th Annaversary (actually it's 19 years and two months, the film wasn't release until June 1993) Here we can go back to a time where it's ok to be scared of scary dinosaurs and for me to fall for Laura Dern. Shs is very hot back then. I'm glad that I fall for her. It's like taking a scrapebook and put 3D glasses on and going though the moments of the movie. It's fun to see the movie on the bnig screen again. This is the third time that i saw the movie. The first time was June 1993, the second time was September 1993 and the third time was yesterday. Now is your chance to go back to Jurassic Park to relive all the fun again. Take me back to Jurassic Park again.
A "See Now" for the movie. But a "Stay Away" for the 3D.
If you've never seen Jurassic Park on the big screen, you should go and see it. However, the 3D process adds nothing to the experience other than requiring you to wear glasses for the whole time.
There are very few scenes in the film that benefited from any 3D enhancement. Most of the time you were just watching a 2D movie while wearing glasses.
So in summary, see the film for the film itself, but don't go expecting an spectacular 3D experience.
