I've come to the screening of "To Rome with Love" thinking that it won't be as good as "Midnight in Paris" and I'm right. It's not as good as "Midnight in Paris," but I enjoy the movie. It's nice to see Woody Allen on the big screen. The last time I saw him was "American Masters" on PBS when they aired a two part episode on the actor/director. When I saw the list of the performers in the movie, I was think that the movie will suffer like "New Year's Eve" and "What to Expect when You're Expecting," where there's is a lot of people with little or no result. Woody Allen knows how to deal with a large cast of performers with his strong writing and very funny situations. The film centers on the people in rome and the funny situations they come across. This is not a great movie, but is joyful enough to give it a "good" rating. |
