The wife and I really enjoyed this movie.
"Parential Guidence" has it's moments, but the film doesn't do much to the cast or to the entire movie. Billy crystal plays a broadcaster at a minor league baseball game. He does it very wwll. After he was fired, the movie didn't recover. He as his wife played by Bette Milder come home to be with their grandchildren. There's not much to like. The comedy plays off likje a boring sitcon that is begging to be canceled by the network. Crystal and Midler play off their characters like a nightclub act in Las Vegas. The reason why I even bother to givre this filmn the Wait for Rentals is that Billy crystal has a strong knowlege of Baseball, but he didn't use it much in the movie, A few weeks ago Crystal appeared on ESPN's "Sportscenter," and hed did a good job. Why can't we see more of that in the movie? His character is limited as with the rest of the cast. It's nice to see Billy crystal, Bette Midler and Marisa Tomei on the big screen. it would be much nicer to appear in a good movie.
