"From the producer of Bridesmaids" that's what the trailer said and probaby people will assune it will be as funny as "Bridesmaids." Right? Wrong! Thios is aterrible comedy about a couple who eas engeged for five years and within that timeline, nothing much happens except people die along withg the brain cells of most of the cast. Jason Segal who came off two good performances in "The Muppets" and "Jeff Who Lives at Home," came up empty in a dull performance. The only good thing I liked about this movie is Emily Blunt. I've been following herr career since "The Devil Wears Pavda," and I think that she is a talented actress. I love the dresses she woern and she's the only standout in the movie. Maybe she's too good for this movie. "A Five-year Engagement" has no laughs and a lame cast. If it wren't for Emily Blunt, this movie could have been a lot worse. |
