'Pretty in Pink" made my top 10 while I was a film critic for a college newspaper way back in 1986. And even today, I deserved to be on that list. the biggest credit of the movie would go to Molly Ringwald. she's the person who dominated the movie. Not only that I love her appeal, she can be a fashion icon. In one scene early in the movie, Audie Walsh played by Ringwald ,was shown wearing a beautiful dress, yet the other classmates found it ugly. I tend to disagree with the other classmantes. Her character can be a stand out and that's one of the reasons why that movie made my list. Jon Cyer (who plays Duckie) and Andrew McCarthy played fellow students who are out for her love. Harry Dean Stanton plays her down and out father, who he can't find work. Annie Potts is great as Molly's friend. I love this film back then and I still do today. this film is not about anyone, but about one person Her name is Andie Walsh and for one brief moment in back in 1986, I wish that she were my girlfriend. Another reason why "Pretty in Pink" made my Top 10 list.
