"Mr. Popper's Penguins" is a dinwitted comedy based on the 1938 childrens book of the same title. I haven't reaqd the book and it's sad to see it reduced to bathroom humor. the real reasoon why Jim Carrey took the role is that he can re-live his Ace Ventura days. I ndon't like the two Ace Vwntura movies, I ceetainly didn't like this movie. The Penguins are cute, but they can't do any more except poop, bute and eat fish. Carrey did nothing more than being a foil to those penguins. I learn one thing from this movie, being a cute movie doesn't make "Mr. Popper's Penguins" a good movie.

There were a lot of kids at the movie I seen, and they were really enjoying it. I, while not a Carrey fan, thought it was a well done movie and a good story. The reason I went is my kids read the book and it was one of their favorites.

Super cute, great family film. My 5 year old was laughing through most of this movie. I love Jim Carey, and he did NOT disappoint! He did a great job at his role, very believable (definitely not over the top), and the penguins were ADORABLE! A definite must see!!!
