I took my family to see Smurfs The Lost Village on Saturday night May 20 at Parkland Theatre. The film stopped the first time for 15 minutes, about an hour into the movie. The attendant mentioned nothing about it being weather related. During the film stoppage, there was audio playing talking about masturbation --- this at a family movie theater and children's show. Imagine trying to explain that to a 11 and 9 year old. I had to tell the attendant to turn off the audio as it was using offensive language. The movie stopped once again with 3 minutes left when the attendant asked if anyone was insistent on seeing the remainder of the movie and then sent everyone home. The only thing the theater was willing to do was to provide passes to the exact same movie. I paid $61 for tickets and snacks, and was so disappointed by this 'Christian' establishment. The manager I called claims the movie stoppage was 'weather related', but nothing else was impacted in the theater.
