Very scary place out past the Broken Arrow Freeway on 31st near the intersection of the I 44. This is one of those $1 ( actually $1.50 ) second run movie places. In a strip mall outside looks interesting in a retro Deco way.
Once you walk in,you are corralled by scansions to the center concession behind what looks like bullet proof glass ( the outside ticket office is closed to keep labor cost down ) and you are greeted with HUGE signs...not spitting, fighting, etc. The place is full of rowdy pre and teenagers on the loose playing an assortment of vider and other games ( we tried one of the air hockey, which I LOVE, but there was hardly any air coming out of the vents so the disk hardly floated at all, worthless ) The assortment of people were unfortunately what your stereotypical Oklahoma person is becoming these days...morbidly obese, exhibiting crude behavior and seemingly uneducated.
(Oklahoma has the fasted rate in increase in obesity in the nation now) Cheap ( for theaters anyway ) popcorn/drinks/snacks.
The carpet was so dirty and filthy in the theater was truly unbelievable, chairs were even kinda sticky I I was seriously concerned about crabs) ,a/c was hardly functioning ( granted it was 107* outside) I walked up to the screen and and looked behind and swear it was a trampoline mounted to the back wall! The sound was barely audible, the movie projection was too small for the screen on the sides and completely off the screen on top and bottom. Definitely NOT a digital movie, the movie print had many distracting scratches, lines, etc.
I couldn't wait to get outta this place!
I am glad though that there are still a few $1.00 buck movie places for those that need this but I will never be back.
Would you recommend this theater to others? No!
