Reader VoiceComments from Our Readers

This feature is intended for our readers to share their experiences at movie theaters, in the hopes that theaters providing good presentations will be highlighted as well as those that need improvement to meet the expectations of their customers.

This is not a forum for bashing on a theater, but rather a place for your experiences (both good and bad) to be noted for other readers to see. If you had a problem at a theater, we encourage you to contact that theater using the information on their Contact Information page. Most theaters are very interested in hearing feedback from their customers.

Kalamazoo 10 was opened in December 1997 with the very first feature is "Scream 3." From there on, i was hooked on going there on a fegular basis. At the same time that ewas open, there are two other theatres within the radius of one mile; Maple Hill Cinema located a few feet away from the Kalamazoo 10 is owned by General Cinema and UA Westmain which was own by UA. Combing the three movie theatre, you got youself a three-fragment answer to Studio 28 in Grand Rapids. But that wan't to last. A month later, Mapel Hill Cinema closed it's doors. By 2002, the theatre was torn down. I heard they had a major rat proble, so down went the theatre. I miss going there. UA Westmain continue until Septemver 1999, when I was torn down with the rest of the mall. The Mall open in 1969 with one movie theatfre, later more screens were added until it became 7 by 1983. By 1999, there was only one tenent left that that was the theatre. Make no difference, that theatre was torn down with the rest of the mall. I was a regular until 2004, when UA Crossroads became Celebration Cinema Crossroads. I divided my time between the two theatres along with The Little Theatre. In 2006, Reve Cityplace 14 was opened, and since I live a few bocks away from the new theatre, I cut back on going to Kalamazoo 10. By 2011, I stop going out to kalamazoo 10 all thogether. When Rave Cityplace closed in November 2012, I became a regular again. The theatre isn't anything special. They got the same candy, soda, popcorn as the rest of the theatres. They don't offer food or beer like the two other theatres. I usually get something to eat before I come to the theatre. They offer Free Kiddie Mantee in the fall and late winter/early spring.(Starting this fall they will start charging them one dollar without your card. and the Documentary series. They also offer Fandom events. I don't attend them. The FMG card has also change offering more points on my tickets and concession pucharses. If you get 30,000 pointsw you get a golden ticket. Right now, i got over 9,700 points with more to come. Today, i juggle all three movie theatres. I not going to be nailed down to one theatre. It's a good movie theatre, if you don't expect much.

Would you recommend this theater to others? Yes!
