1013 K Street
Sacramento, CA 95814
Opened in January 1913 as the Empress, a 2,000 seat vaudeville theater. It was later renamed the Hippodrome, and changed from vaudeville to movies. In 1946, the interior was gutted and the Crest was born October 6, 1949 with a showing of "That Midnight Kiss"
The theater closed in 1979 and was reopened November 18, 1986. A 1995 restoration effort brought back some of its original glory and two additional screens were added in 1997.

About Theater Comment Cards
Theater Comment Cards are just one of the services that The BigScreen Cinema Guide offers to theaters to provide their customers with a way to contact them regarding recent visits to their theater, questions they have about an upcoming visit, or other matters that they would like to communicate with theater staff. All theaters are able to participate in this service, but not all choose to do so.
If you are a theater manager and would like to offer this valuable service to your customers, please see the Theater Comment Cards section of our Business Information. If you are a customer and the theater(s) you patronize don't offer this feature, please print this page of information and ask the manager there to sign up for this great service!
