My latest most recent experience with the AMC Lennox Theater in Columbus goes like the this:

My wife & I planned a dinner and movie date last night. We had a nice dinner, and planned on seeing the long-awaited new Wes Anderson film, "Moonrise Kingdom" at 8:00.

We arrived a half hour early at the theater (7:30) so we could have a good chance at the best possible seat. I asked for 2 senior tickets at the box office, and with no comment one way or the other from the kid in the booth, was charged $10 for 2 tickets. OK, what happened to the senior rate? I waited in line again only to be told that the Lennox no longer sells senior tickets. OK, thanks a lot, Lennox, for making this clear (as mud).

We were in our carefully selected seats 20 minutes prior to showtime, and were suffering through the interminable ads that all AMC theaters force down your throat before the trailers, and before all feature films.

We had a total of 6 fellow audience members - just about as we expected for this wonderfully quirky film.

Suddenly, about 5 minutes before showtime, we were deluged with hoards of loud college boys. Something was up! We were told that they had been sent to OUR theater for the new Batman film. WTF?!?

I stormed up the customer service desk and was told the 19-year-old girl there that she "felt terrible" about it and would refund our money. I was totally steamed at the point, I don't mind saying!!! We were literally evicted from our chosen theater. This action on the part of the AMC Lennox was absolutely unconscionable! We were not able to locate anyone over the age of 19 to voice our displease to, and this fueled our anger even more. Does everyone at this multiplex make minimum wage?

My wife and I have been loyal customers of this theater since it opened, BUT...NEVER...AGAIN!!

AMC Lennox - you have made lifetime enemies of us. We will take advantage of every opportunity to bash you, beginning with this one!

Would you recommend this theater to others? No!
