Theater was opened in December 1995 by GKC (George Kerasotes Corporation) as a 12-screen location. Six screens were added in 1999, and it was purchased in 2005 by Carmike Cinemas.

The theater closed in February 2013 to make way for a new 12-screen Carmike theater.
