Opened in 1879 as the Maltz Opera House. Later known as the Maltz Theatre. Reopened as the State Theater in 1955. Formerly the Carmike State Cinemas, which became the AMC Classic State 3 in Feb 2017 when AMC acquired Carmike Cinemas. Closed in 2020. Being restored as the Maltz Opera House once again.
