I am a huge fan of rave motion pictures. I used to live in Alabama and I am so sad that there are not any of them out west. The movie theater times were always great for me and my family and I will always claim to be a Rave fan.

When Rave bought the Cinema De Lux 14 at the Greene, they reduced or eliminated all discounts they offered to military, seniors...across the board. Now it is THE MOST EXPENSIVE Movie Theater in Dayton!

They also added an unadvertized UP-CHARGE OF $3/Ticket for their Director's Hall movies (alcohol service available in the hallway), which aren't listed on their board above the ticket counter, although the movie listing & time are shown on various websites.

So, don't be surprised as I was, when the movie I came to watch at a specific showing wasn't on the board and they wanted to add $6 to our bill even though we didn't want the alcohol service, or someone showing us to our seats! It was either pay the extra $6 or wait more than an hour for another showing. The Director's Theater is really nothing special!!

No Alternative showing at a similar time - Bad on Rave for treating customers like that!
Maybe they will realize the bad-will they are creating with customers -- attendance at the movie I saw reflected that!

Had not been to this Theatre for a while, and was very disapointed that my gift card was not accepted and that there was no longer a Senior discount on Wednesday afternoons.

The theatre screens, seats etc. are nice but being on limited income will prohibit many visits to this theatre. Looks like rented movies will be a coming trend due to the rising costs at the Rave. We saw True Grit on Wed. Jan. 5.

The Crazies is a well done "scary" film. We saw the 2:25 show Saturday, March 13. It has a good story line, the story moves at a good pace throughout the movie--never bogs down or lags, the characters makes smart moves instead of the usual lame-brain ones, lots of action -- not just a cut and slash movie with a lot of teenage girls running around half naked and screaming. It has a realistic mode.
This theater is our favorite theatre. The seats are not only comfortable, but have HEADRESTS.
We just wish you had the plastic trays that the Dayton Mall theater used to have. They made great lap trays to hold and eat the concessions from.

Sorry, but don't remember the date and time. But I really like the size of the screens, the staggering of the seats to insure good viewing, the comfortableness of the seats, especially the leather seats. Also like the many bathrooms available and especially the "family" bathrooms which lends themselves well to people in wheelchairs. I was able to go in with my husband and help him. Also like the elevator to the second floor. We liked the upper deck in the two larger theaters best.
